October 10th: World Mental Health Day World Mental Health Day is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy regarding mental health, mental health disorders, and advocacy against social stigma. The 2024 theme for World Mental Health Day is Mental Health at Work. The World Health Organization is uniting with partners to highlight the connection between Mental Health and Work. Safe and physical healthy work environments are needed but unhealthy work environments that include stigma, discrimination, harassments, and poor work conditions can also impact your mental health, quality of life and productivity at work. For more information on the WHO’s policy brief and education on mental health in the workplace, visit the World Health Organization. Another great resource is the Institute for Well-Being in Law (IWIL). IWIL is dedicated to the betterment of the legal profession by focusing on a holistic approach to well-being. Through advocacy, research, education, technical and resource support, and stakeholders’ partnerships, IWIL is leading a cultural shift in the legal industry to establish health and well-being as core centerpieces of the industry's success. |
