Mental Health is the latest dimension in the Diversity & Inclusion space. It affects many groups regardless of age, race, gender, education or socio-economic status in and out of the workplace.
As legal professionals we may suddenly be f aced with an employee displaying symptoms and/or behaviors that may signal help is needed. For many it is a struggle not knowing whom to turn to. They have a fear of losing employment and being associated with th e stigma of mental illness. Let’s talk about Mental Health and how to help our employees, friends and family members.
In this session you will learn how to:
1 – Define and di stinguish mental disorders;
2 – Recognize signs of a men tal health crisis;
3 – Best handle mental issues in the workplace;
4 – Provide support and resources;
5 – Discuss accommodations and insurance.
