New York Wage Hour and Pay Equity Issues – Hot Spots and Compliance Challenges

Wage and Hour issues present challenges to most employers, and law firms are no exception. New York firms have been struggling with balancing a workforce shortage, remote work, worker classification, overtime challenges, and aggressive Department of Labor investigators.  What’s more, New York has one of the robust Pay Equity laws in the country and pay transparency laws are on the horizon that will require companies to disclose both salaries for new hires and existing pay data.   All of this will require New York firms to be on guard like never before.
