The Impact of George Floyd’s Death on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace

Many of us were raised to believe that there are three things you just don’t talk about in the workplace: race, religion and politics. But as George Floyd’s murder and the events of the past eighteen months have shown us, we can no longer afford not to have these conversations. While talking about race can be difficult, being able to engage in uncomfortable conversations and work effectively across difference is an essential leadership skill and vital to building a truly inclusive workplace.

Join us for this interactive session where we’ll explore how our cultural differences influence the way we interact with people. We’ll focus on three challenges to working effectively across difference: cultural assumptions, gaps between the intent of our words and/or actions and our impact and insider/outsider dynamics.
