Leading a Productive Hybrid Team - Presented by Loeb Leadership

ALANYC continues our series of Lunchtime Zoom Education sessions.  The Professional Development Team strives to bring timely topics to help you meet your unique challenges in the days and weeks ahead.

The challenge ahead for all Law Firm managers is how to effectively lead and engage a hybrid team.  Learn practical skills to effectively manage your team and ensure that team members are productive, engaged and content.   Topics to be discussed in this session include:

  • Understand the challenges of leading a hybrid workforce.
  • Best practices related to engaging hybrid/remote workers.
  • Recognize skills to foster an effective “hybrid-friendly” environment.

Taris Mullins is a seasoned Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Facilitator and Organizational Change Consultant working in partnership with multiple organizations to design and implement strategies for their workforce. He currently serves as the Senior Manager for Culture, Diversity & Inclusion, and Talent Management at TeleSign and oversees global engagement initiatives for the 500+ person organization. Taris’ consulting practice includes clients across a variety of industries including education technology, finance, law enforcement, engineering, and marketing organizations. As a diversity and inclusion professional, Taris leverages over a decade of experience facilitating and directing organizational learning and strategy. Taris is a trained people manager and has harnessed his skills to lead teams in the public and private sectors. He has coordinated staff development programs impacting groups from 5-500+ employees and integrates a responsive and relational approach to his practice.

Taris is an experienced leader around diversity initiatives such as unconscious bias, leadership coaching, data analysis, inclusive hiring practices, and change management. He has a demonstrated record of diversity thought leadership with eight publications and 14+ national presentations on a range of topics related to inclusion and social justice. Beyond this, Taris has co-led the creation and expansion of Employee Resource Groups serving Staff of Color and LGBTQIA-persons in multiple organizations. Taris holds his B.A. in English from Virginia Tech, his M.A. in Higher Education & Student Affairs from The Ohio State University, and a Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University. A native of the Washington, D.C. metro area, Taris is an avid runner and lives in Harlem with his dog Riley.
