ALANYC Diversity and Inclusion Team Presents
"A Conversation on Racial Injustice with Honorable Tanya R. Kennedy"
Monday, August 10th
12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

Recent events around the world have shown that race is a topic for discussion that has been very long overdue.  People are using social media and protesting in the streets to draw attention to the unlawful and unjust treatment that occurs to individuals based on their race.

Taking the time to deconstruct implicit biases, preconceived notions about race and working to educate ourselves are positive steps we can take towards being an active advocate against racial injustice.  Our goal for this session is to create purposeful dialogue to better understand racial injustice and help equip attendees in advocating for systemic equality.

Topics to be discussed:

  • Systemic Racism
  • Disparity in State Prisons
  • White Privilege
  • Black Lives Matter/All Lives Matter
  • Voting for Change

The conversation will be followed by a Q&A where you will be able to ask questions directly to Honorable Tanya R. Kennedy.  If you would like to ask a question, please be prepared to unmute your audio and activate your video.
