Re-opening Business: Roundtable on Health & Sustainability Factors
Thursday, May 21, 2020, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM EDT
Category: Education

ALANYC continues our series of Lunchtime Virtual Education sessions designed to support our membership as we move toward our new normal in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over the next few months, governors and mayors addressing the COVID-19 pandemic with stay-at-home restrictions may begin to lift them as they see their states and cities stabilize.  At that point, businesses may have the choice of allowing employees back into physical office spaces.

The ALANYC Sustainability Team and the LFSN invite you to join us for a discussion on the challenges of bringing employees back and what options you can consider in doing so both safely and sustainably.  The first part of the session will feature a panel of experts who will offer a variety of perspectives on some of these issues from preparing office spaces to how employees can collaborate safely and sustainably.

We will leave the second portion for Q&A and roundtable discussion.

  • Air quality, including HVAC and air filters (Structure Tone)
  • Workplace policies for employees, access to spaces, health protocols (Gail Ruopp, LLC)
  • Employee density plans including social distancing (Arenson and Distinctive Office)
  • Procurement for cleaning, safety equipment and other products/technologies (Weeks Lerman and ECS Global Services)
  • Overall considerations – examples from a large scale operation (Le Parker Méridien Hotel NYC)
