Session 1: Developing a Strategic Mindset
Strategic thinking has become a focus for many organizations, as the role of the manager pushes beyond traditional operational limits.  Firms need managers who can help internal and external clients “see around corners” and better anticipate opportunities.
No one is born with a strategic mindset.  To become a strategic thinker, one must plan and practice.  This webinar explores the concept of strategic thinking by highlighting key differences between tactical and strategic mindsets, as well as the factors that influence how we think.

Participants will: 

• Understand the importance of strategic thinking on a team and within a firm
• Understand the difference between tactical and strategic thinking
• Explore the characteristics of strategic thinkers
• Understand what influences our thinking
• Understand how to shift from tactical to strategic thinking

CLM Application Credit for Functional Specialists:  1 hour (60 min) in the subject area of Legal Industry/Business Management towards the additional hours required of some Functional Specialists to fulfill the CLM application.

CLM Recertification Credit: 1 hour (60 min) in the subject area of Legal Industry/Business Management.
