Avoiding the Cyber Clutter: A Practical Guide to Cybersecurity
Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m
City National Bank, 400 Park Avenue, 2nd FL, New York, NY 10022

Legal administrators are deluged with cyber chatter. Partners are involved, clients are demanding. As part of the leadership of your firm, you must proactively become educated and help your firm protect itself from this new and evolving exposure.

In this panel discussion, we will discuss today’s great cyber challenges, specifically:

  • Regulatory Landscape: What applies to your firm and what does not? Are your clients the new law firm regulators? The professional rules of conduct and what the body is now saying is the attorney’s responsibility in terms of awareness and proactiveness.
  • Top 3 Threats: The really bad guys (make you “Wanna Cry”); rogue employees; and the biggest threat of them all, unaware employees.
  • Financial Impacts: What it will cost you and what risk transfer (e.g., insurance) is available. The process and predictions for the future.

This session will be a panel discussion from three perspectives: law firm administrator, technical and business.
